AlpsMan Half: from the lake shore to the roof of Annecy!
The AlpsMan Half will give you the chance to follow in the footsteps of the legendary AlpsMan Xtrem Triathlon course! True to the event's DNA, the Half format will live up to AlpsMan's reputation: you'll tackle a demanding course that will take you from Lake Annecy to the summit of the Semnoz. It's a real mountain triathlon, in a grandiose setting, where race management will be paramount if you hope to cross the finish line.
Paths and profiles
2 KM
08:30 am - Early in the morning, from the beach of Saint-Jorioz, you will dive into the crystal clear waters of Lake Annecy to do two 1 km loops with an Australian style exit. The atmosphere at the lake will carry you and give you the strength to face the rest of this course which will not give you any gifts.
Mass Start: 08:30 am
Time barrier: 09:30 a.m. (Out of the water)
100 KM
True to the DNA of the AlpsMan, the bike section will not spare you. Once out of the transition zone, you'll head for the Col de Leschaux via the Route de la Magne. This two-stage ascent will get you in the mood for the rest of the route. Once over this first pass, you'll ride on to Saint-François de Sales, Aillon-le-Jeune and then Lescheraines. From here, all that's left is the descent to Saint-Jorioz to reach the transition zone and start the running part of the race.
Time barrier: 1:45 pm at Lescheraines
Time barrier: 03:00 pm at the exit of the bike park
16 KM
Last part of this Half like AlpsMan: the run is a dry climb of 16 km. From Saint-Jorioz to Monnetier, you will start with three kilometers on the flat, just to stretch your legs a bit. Then the slope will slightly slope over the next six kilometers until La Bauche. A small flat section will allow you to catch your breath before entering the heart of the matter. The last six kilometers will be uphill only until the finish. For some of you it will be a formality, for others, a real way of the cross. From Saint-Jorioz to the top of Semnoz you will accumulate 1300 m of D+ on 16 km, to become a finisher of the AlpsMan Half Triathlon, that is deserved.
Time barrier: 07:00 pm (stopwatch at the finish)

This year, the AlpsMan joins the French Triathlon Federation (FFTri).
This recognition marks an important step in structuring the event, aligning it with national standards and supporting federal sport.
How to register depends on your situation:
- If you have an FFTri Compétition license, simply enter your license number when you register.
- Non-licensed participants, as well as holders of an FFTri Loisir / Entraînement license, will have to subscribe to a Pass'Compétition directly at the time of their registration via the platform.
- Foreign participants: even if you hold a license from a foreign federation, you must also take out an FFTri Competition Pass, to guarantee your insurance cover for the event. However, the Pass'Compétition will be free of charge for licensees of the triathlon federations of the following countries: Germany, Belgium, Spain, Great Britain (England, Scotland, Wales), Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Portugal, Switzerland.
👉 Please note: the Pass'Compétition is valid only for the event you register for. It does not constitute an annual license.
➡️ The medical certificate will therefore no longer be required, with the FFTri license or Competition Pass serving as regulatory validation.
📌 The amount of the Pass'Compétition is set by the FFTri, according to the official federal grid and the distance of the chosen event: Xtrem and Half: 40€ | Xpérience: 7€ | AlpsKid: 2€.
