AlpsMan 2020 canceled
Because of the coronavirus crisis, the uncertainty of the next weeks and the latest measures undertaken by the French government with a 2-week extension of the quarantine period up to 15th of April at least, we had to make a tough decision.
To our deep regret, but for the benefit of all and mutual interest, we have decided to cancel the 2020 edition of the AlpsMan.
Despite our effort, the current conditions jeopardize the organisation of the event. We won’t be able to deliver an event meeting our expectations, to offer high quality races and to ensure security for all.
Additionally, with the extension of the quarantine period in several countries, you can’t train as you should for such a competition. Challenge is in the DNA of our event; in this instance the lack of training is too unreasonable of a risk.
We first thought of re-scheduling the event until fall. Upon further reflexion and as the sport event calendar is overloaded at this time of year, we thought it was not adequate to postpone regarding the range of our event. We prefer to focus on the next edition that will take place on 5th and 6th of June 2021.
We remain at your disposal would you need any other information. You can contact us at the following address: firstname.lastname@example.org
You sometimes need to apply self-analysis to make the most appropriate decisions. We understand that cancelling the event is disappointing but we will emerge from this crisis stronger and more united than ever. Despite these events, we remain on your side in any situation.
Take care of yourself and your loved ones
